If it wasn't ...I think this is a world problem. If it wasn't Iran, it would be somewhere else (indeed it has been). This rhetorical conflict is in my opinion, a symptom of the sad state of the human condition in our times; namely, that we all, even *incredulous tone* in the 'democratic' West, are utterly subordinate to and subjegated by the global capitalist religion of injustice and greed. Yes, there are political and historical nuances that are not fully acknowleged by this naieve and sweeping assertion, this sophomoric revolutionary talk. But what then...?
I'll tell you, Bubba. Education. We must continue to educate our young people, to foster good relationships with the good youth of Iran, to build worldwide awareness of the injustice (retweet Medialens, AntennaRed and other such) and be historically aware that this is a LONG road. And a difficult one. Ultimately, the change required to create a more equitable world is one that would see many of us who can afford computers less well off as wealth is fairly re-distributed.
Do you have the stomach for it??Spleen et Idealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05614853830927736464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7026799170776510646.post-19277443044629445802012-01-22T14:33:47.411-08:002012-01-22T14:33:47.411-08:00Yes, Bubba, the American people too are cannon fod...Yes, Bubba, the American people too are cannon fodder; some for the military and some for the corporations, who get fat and bloated through the labor of the American workers, and then pick up and leave for more profitable locations, leaving the workers in the lurch.

How to support the Iranian people? The million-dollar question!

I think the American people should first support themselves (i.e., do something about their own liberation from the corporations); then, down the line, at some future point, they may be able to lend others a helping hand too.RFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08719402559763268974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7026799170776510646.post-41151648018090810382012-01-21T22:22:25.517-08:002012-01-21T22:22:25.517-08:00Wow, very interesting.

We're led through these charade elections and fool ourselves into thinking they at least need our votes.

Anyway. So what are we to do to support the Iranian people? Besides maybe supporting the Occupy movement with all our might?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
